Cadets shine at JROTC drill competition

Cadets posing with the awards they won at the drill competition

Schools from across three states gathered at Albany High on Jan. 31 to showcase their precision and synchronization as a formation in a variety of events at the JROTC Drill Competition

Our cadets in our Albany High Sgt. Henry Johnson Battalion Junior ROTC had an outstanding performance, winning six of the seven events they entered! Additionally, our cadets proudly fielded an exhibition team for the first time, an event that features complex routines with unique formations focused on creativity and precise timing.

As a result of their success this weekend, our cadets who specialize in drill routines will travel to Florida in the spring to enter a national competition.

Falcons, we are proud of your leadership, work ethic and discipline, and we congratulate you on a job well done!
