Congratulations to Albany High junior Yehudah "Hudah" Levi for being selected as the Section 2 representative to attend the 4th Annual New York State Public High School Athletic Association Student (NYSPHSAA) Leadership Conference, which will take place April 15-16.

Levi is a talented three-season student-athlete who competes at the varsity level in football, wrestling and outdoor track and field.

When he transferred to Albany High last year, Levi’s enthusiasm and character quickly caught the attention of his teachers and coaches. Due to his excellence in the classroom and as a student-athlete, he was named a NYSPHSAA individual scholar-athlete in the spring and in the fall of 2025.

Varsity Football Coach Mike Ware has seen firsthand Levi’s qualities that led to this exciting leadership opportunity.

“Hudah epitomizes the values we strive to instill in all our student-athletes. He is an outstanding student and an exceptional football player, as well as a natural leader," said Ware. "He demonstrates the ability to lead both vocally and by example, earning the respect of his teammates through his actions. He is consistently the first to arrive at practice and the last to leave. His respectfulness, relentless work ethic and unwavering commitment set him apart, as he is continually among the hardest workers in any environment,” said Ware.

At the event, Levi will gather with student-athletes from across New York State to hear guest speakers and attend a variety of workshops designed to inspire and empower young leaders.

We are proud of Levi and wish him the best as he continues to represent our school community with integrity and pride!
