Congratulations to five Albany High students whose artwork will be showcased in the 27th Annual High School Regional Juried Art Exhibition!
Of 515 submissions from 27 school districts, 127 pieces were selected by the jurors, including the following pieces created by our talented Falcons:
- Michael Awili | Grade 11 | End Game | Digital photography, Adobe Photoshop, archival print
- Michaela Kaitleen Awili | Grade 11 | Performance | Digital photography, Adobe Photoshop, archival print
- Naomi Calvin | Grade 10 | Bricks | Digital photography, Lightroom Classic, archival print
- Alex Steuer | Grade 12 | Untitled | Digital illustration, Adobe Fresco
- Kazi Suprova | Grade 10 | Little Different | Paper towel, cardboard, masking tape, wire and acrylic paint
Jurors D. Colin, Tony Iadicicco and Alicia Lea selected the final pieces for exhibition after six hours of thoughtful consideration, and we are extremely proud to see our Falcon artists counted among the most talented student-artists in the Capital Region!
The exhibition will be on view at Albany Center Gallery, located at 48 North Pearl St. from March 21 to April 24. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.
We are so proud of our Falcons and their guiding teachers, Thea Beauchamp, David Easton, Kristine Monahan and Theresa Story.
