Our unified basketball team faced off against the Schenectady Patriots at The Nest on Thursday afternoon!
Throughout the game, our Falcons flew down the court with determination, showcasing excellent teamwork and communication. We are proud of how our student-athletes represented Albany High, and their enthusiasm brought smiles from all the fans who came to cheer.
The unified basketball team is coed and made up of students from grades 9-12. Unified sports are Special Olympics programs that combine athletes with and without disabilities on sports teams for training and competition.
Although our Falcons ended the game with a hard-fought 48-31 loss, they exemplified Falcon pride throughout the competition, and we can't wait to see them in action again this Thursday, May 7, at our next home game. Tip off is at 4:30 p.m.
Let's go Falcons!
