Francis finishes first at Suburban Council Championships

Congratulations to Albany High senior Terrique Francis for earning first place in the 100m dash at the Suburban Council Championships for boys' outdoor track and field on May 19!

Francis ran a lightening fast time of 10.97, and we are incredibly proud of his accomplishment.

Additional notable performances include Jah'Quinn Thompson placing second in the 400m dash with a time of 50.68. We also congratulate Francis, Javanni Garland-Santana, Nyerere Young and Nasief Smith for placing second in the 4x100m relay with a time of 42.66.

The competition included student-athletes from 14 area schools.

Come cheer on both our boys' and girls' outdoor track teams at sectionals on Wednesday, May 27, at Colonie High School. The action kicks off at 4 p.m. and tickets must be purchased via the GoFan website. Admission is free for children 12 and under.
