Albany High has given so much to senior James Campbell that he wanted to find a way to give back. On the last day of his high school career, Campbell presented a donation of merchandise from his clothing brand to the Falcon Market as a gesture of gratitude to our school community.

“I just received a lot of support from Albany High,” Campbell shared. “Being a senior and class president, I wanted to leave something with the school as a little gift and a little thank you for helping me to grow my brand, grow my business—to give something back to the students who may not be able to always wear nice things.”

As a sophomore, Campbell took a business course at Albany High that sparked the inspiration to create something of his own. Within the course of a few months, he launched his own clothing brand, beginning his journey as an entrepreneur.

Campbell credits both his coursework and the support of Albany High as elements that helped him garner success in growing his small business. Seeing hall monitors, peers and community members take an interest in his apparel and purchase items of their own really catalyzed his commitment to building and developing his brand. With over 61,000 followers on his business Instagram page, Campbell has leveraged his high school years to build real-life experience in marketing that will help set him up for success in the future.

Campbell will attend the University at Albany this fall, and he plans to major in business administration with a minor in marketing. He looks forward to strengthening his knowledge of running a business while continuing to grow his clothing brand during his collegiate years and beyond.

Albany High students and families are invited to stop by the Falcon Market to check out these awesome donations. The Falcon Market is a completely free resource that includes a clothing boutique and food pantry.
