Students and staff back home at O'Neal!

A boy and girl student walk through two lines of cheering people

Edmund J. O’Neal School of Excellence joyfully welcomed back students Tuesday after four weeks of being displaced by damage from a water leak during spring break.

Middle- and high-school students and their teachers applauded elementary students as they paraded outside the school. Parents also attended to cheer on their students who attend Albany International Center and the Dual Language Program, both of which are located at O’Neal.

Later, staff cheered on older students as well.

Check out a Facebook photo album from the parade. (You don't need a Facebook account to see the pictures linked in the highlighted text. A window may appear that says, "To see more from Albany City Schools on Facebook, log on or create an account,” but you can dismiss it by clicking “not now.”)

In addition, Board of Education President Anne Savage and district Director of ENL and Refugee Services Tom Giglio stopped by to show their support.
