The winter sports season officially begins on Monday, Nov. 17 for City School District of Albany student-athletes in grades 9-12!
You can view practice and tryout schedules for each sport via this Google Sheet.
Coaches will keep student-athletes and families appraised of adjustments to the practice schedule that will happen as the season proceeds. The competition schedules for winter sports are available on our website.
As a reminder, each season, the following must be done prior to the first day of preseason tryouts/practices:
- A parent or guardian must initiate the registration process for their student-athlete in Final Forms, filling out the required forms such as Interval Sports Health History and the Athletic Consent Form.
- The student-athlete must sign/complete their required forms.
- All students who would like to play an interscholastic sport need to have a current physical conducted within a year on file. Details about sports physicals are available in this news story.
Please note that the season for unified bowling has a different start date and we will be communicating in the near future about the registration process, start date and schedule for practice and competitions.
Due to the fact that ice hockey is a merger with other area school districts and not solely a City School District of Albany athletic team, the Athletic Department will be reaching out directly to students and their families who expressed interest in this sport via the Final Forms platform to go over next steps.
If you have additional questions, please contact the Athletics Department at (518) 475-6310.
Let's go Falcons!
