Exceptional student Jesus Castillo

Congratulations to sophomore Jesus Castillo, who proudly represents Albany High in the district's 2019-20 wall calendar.

Jesus was recognized at a special reception on Oct. 2.

Jesus is friendly and conscientious student who always attempts to do his best. He came to the United States three years ago from the Dominican Republic. Besides being actively engaged in classroom learning, he participates in the Albany High’s Junior ROTC program and cares deeply about representing his uniform well.

Jesus is also an athlete who played Freshman Baseball and intends to be on the JV team this year. In addition, Jesus stays after school regularly to participate in Chess Club. He is active in his church and strives to get along and make friends with all students. Jesus aspires to be an air force pilot and play baseball in the future. He enjoys spending time with his family, and always seeks to make them proud.
