Falcons place fourth in Suburban Council Championship

The Albany High School boys' track and field team came in fourth, out of 15 teams, in Wednesday's Suburban Council Championship Meet.

A huge congratulations goes to Elijah Temple! The sophomore brought home the gold in the 400m hurdles.

Neel Chittur broke a 40-year-old school record set by Alfie Woodard in the 3200m. The junior placed second with a time of 9:29.93

  • 6th-3k Steeplechase-Jacob Kirtley
  • 6th-110 Hurdles-Elijah Temple
  • 6th-100m-Jahcere Laboy
  • 6th- 400 Hurdles-Malachi Young

The team will be competing again next Wednesday in Sectionals at Colonie HIgh School. The results from that meet determine which student-athletes qualify for the state championship meet.
