Three Falcons earned the title of Section 2, Division 1 champions at this weekend's winter track and field meet at Union College.
Congratulations to:
- 1000m - Graham Richard (senior)
- Triple Jump - Maximus Boettner (junior)
- Long Jump - Adam Oblisk
Richard and Oblisk also placed second in the 1600m and High Jump, respectively, while junior Malachi Young brought home the silver in the 50m High Hurdles.
A special shout out, also, to the following student-athletes who also scored for Albany High School:
- 3200m - Roland Richard (freshman) - 4th place
- 4x400m relay - Young, Ben Harris (senior), Chauncey Khamani (senior), Joseph Campbell (senior) - 4th place
- 4x200m relay - Charles Lipscomb (senior), Patrick Ponzo (junior), Jah’Cere Laboy (junior), Jah’Quil Thompson (senior) - 6th place
- 3000m- Annabelle DiStefano (freshman) - 6th place
The state qualifying meet is Sunday, Feb. 5 at Hudson Valley Community College. Good luck to all the Falcons who will be competing!
