Let's make junior Azera Gates the Times Union's Athlete of the Week!
Each Monday during the school year, the Times Union nominates ten student-athletes from around the Capital Region who had outstanding performances during the previous week.
Gates, a girls' basketball standout and perennial team leader, is nominated after scoring 32 points and grabbing nine rebounds to lead Albany High School past South Bronx Prep 61-54 on Jan. 13.
