Falcons show tenacity on the tennis courts

Isabella Antunes on the court with her racket

Our girls' tennis team faced off against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake on Monday on our home courts at Albany High.

Despite a hard-fought team loss of 8-1, our Falcons played with determination, energy and passion throughout the course of the evening.

Freshman Isabella Antunes put forth an excellent performance, dominating her first set 6-2. During the second set, she overcame adversity by coming back from a 5-1 deficit to ultimately win the second 7-6 in a tiebreaker, sealing the match win!

Our Falcons have many more opportunities to shine as the fall season continues. Be sure to come celebrate our seniors and catch the whole team in action on Monday, Sept. 29. There will be a brief ceremony prior to the 4:15 p.m. home match against Columbia.

Let's go Falcons!
