Our Albany High boys’ tennis team finished their season at the Section 2 singles and doubles tournament on Saturday.
Over 200 student-athletes from across the Capital Region competed at Shenendehowa High School, and the competition was fierce on all 16 courts.
In the singles tournament, Stanley Cornell put forth a tremendous effort, taking a tough loss in the second round to his rival from Albany Academy. Doubles team of Ethan Ceniza and Garrison Goldman put forth a strong performance, winning a pressure-packed first round match against Averill Park, but ultimately succumbing to the third seeded team from Shaker in the following round.
Congratulations to the whole team on a tremendous season. Go Falcons!
