Albany High's flag football team finished out their season on Tuesday evening with a hard-fought 27-12 loss against Shaker in the Section 2 Class A semifinal.
Narai Danzy led the offense with 206 passing yards and added 22 rushing yards. Janae Byrams delivered an incredible all-around performance, scoring on a 15-yard receiving touchdown while finishing with 56 receiving yards, 31 rushing yards and five defensive stops. Aasett Taylor added another touchdown, totaled 73 receiving yards and contributed three defensive stops.
Defensive backs Nalina Charles, Celena Walcott, Damarie Cooley and Jaya Stewart combined for 25 flags on the defense. Walcott finished with a game-high nine flags, while Jaya Stewart added a first-quarter interception. Pass rusher Janalee Campbell contributed five defensive stops and two quarterback sacks.
As the season comes to a close, we commend our student-athletes for their dedication, hard work and Falcon pride, and we look forward to cheering them on in the 2026-27 season.
