Regents exams: arrival procedures

Falcon logo

Falcons, here are important details to help you proceed to your Regents exams in a smooth and timely fashion. These procedures will be implemented on all Regents exam days: June 9-10, June 17-18 and June 22-25.

  • Please remember to bring your student ID with you on your Regents exam day.
  • For morning exams, please arrive by 8 a.m. For afternoon exams, please arrive by noon.
  • Enter the building via the main entrance on Washington Avenue and pass through standard security.
  • We highly encourage students to leave electronic devices at home on Regents exam days and recommend that students leave any items they don’t need at home to help expedite security procedures.
  • All technology — including cell phones — must be turned in to school staff at entry for safe storage during Regents testing. After a student completes their exam, they will pick up any electronic devices before returning home.
  • Under New York State Education Department policy, any student found in possession of a prohibited electronic device (such as a cell phone, smartwatch or tablet) during a Regents exam will have their test automatically invalidated and receive a score of zero.
  • Students will not use Yondr pouches on Regents testing days.
  • After dropping off electronic devices, students will proceed through an additional security screening before going to their testing room.
  • For the Algebra I Regents exam only, selected students have been given a pass to bring their Chromebook with them. Questions can be directed to the student’s math teacher.

Your cooperation will help everyone get into their assigned testing locations in a timely manner and will help our school community comply with state-mandated security protocols to ensure testing integrity.
