Practice "run" at Math Sprint

Students work on math problems together in a competition.

Ready, set, math!

On Friday, Arbor Hill Elementary participated in a math sprint.

Led by Albany District Links, an historic African-American women’s civic organization, teams of students competed to solve math problems as quickly as possible during a friendly and educational competition.

Giffen Memorial Elementary School, Thomas O'Brien Academy of Science and Technology (TOAST) and Sheridan Preparatory Academy are also participating in the program with a shared goal of overcoming a fear of math and encouraging teamwork!

A final competition will be held June 3.
