We have the best neighbors!

An Arbor Hill students practices using a fire extinguisher.

We appreciate the Albany Fire Department for hosting a group of our students on Thursday!

Kathryn Sokaris’ English Language Learners (ELL) took a walking field trip to the Arbor Hill firehouse and learned all about the equipment, tools and technology firefighters use to keep us safe.

The kindergarten through grade 4 students learned about 911 and, most importantly, even though firefighters may look (and even sound) scary with all their gear on, they’re there to help and you should never hide from them.

Thank you Firefighter Kevin and Lt. Adam for the tour – hopefully you inspired another generation of heroes.
