Traveling rainbow wows students

Students and their teacher participate in a science lab.

Well, they didn’t discover a pot of gold but they did learn a lot about capillary action, force, cohesion and adhesion!

During a hands-on science lesson this week, third graders grew their very own rainbow – using only a paper towel, water and markers!

Marion McCarthy and Jessica Piacente’s students made predictions, recorded observations and incorporated measurement, fractions and teamwork while completing the lab.
