Lantern Parade fun!

Two students create plastic bottle and tissue paper lanterns in art class.

On Nov. 3, Albany School of Humanities students and staff will participate in the 4th Annual Albany Lantern Parade in Washington Park.

During the week of Oct. 21-25, students prepped by making their lanterns (plastic bottles and tissue paper) in class with art teacher Amanda Mannato.

Visit the district Facebook page to view photos of our creative first-graders making lanterns and who who can’t wait to be part of such a special community event!
