A day in the life: Deah Postiglion’s first grade

Two students working at their desk, reading and writing.

Visit our district Facebook page to take a look at a typical day of learning in Deah Postiglion’s first grade at Albany School of Humanities (ASH).

During Friday morning’s English Language Arts (ELA) block, students were focused on identifying character traits. Working in pairs, students discussed the physical and personality traits of characters from some of their favorite stories. They then put their reading, writing and artistic talents into action as they prepared presentations on the “inside” (personality) and “outside” (physical) character traits to share with the class.
