Celebrating National Principals Month

October is National Principals Month, an opportunity to celebrate our building leaders, who go above and beyond every day to serve our students and families.

This leadership has been more crucial than ever over the past 20 months as the pandemic has disrupted every aspect of our work and our lives. Suddenly thrust into the unfamiliar realm of distance learning and virtual attendance, our principals and assistant principals have taken the lead in responding to the myriad challenges and opportunities that have come with that critical transition.

Not only have they gone above and beyond to support students’ academic success and social-emotional well-being, they’ve also worked tirelessly to protect the health and safety of every person in their learning communities — often with little or rapidly changing guidance.

With every new twist that COVID-19 has brought us, our principals and assistant principals have responded, setting a strong, compassionate and supportive tone to lead their school communities forward.

Our principals and assistant principals are among the hardest-working members of our organization. We are honored to serve alongside each of them, and proud to recognize the unrelenting commitment to our students, faculty and staff that they demonstrate daily.
