A second grader marvels at a baby chick.

Our chicks hatched!

Second grade has been patiently waiting for their fluffy friends and Wednesday the little ones pecked through their shells and got their first look at the world, ASH style.

While meeting the chicks was obviously the grand finale, our students had a lot of fun learning about life cycles - which they haven't had the opportunity to do for two years due to COVID-19.

When they’re a bit bigger, the chicks will head to a district employee's farm.
