A Day in the Life: Amanda Mannato’s art class

Students holding needle-felted mushrooms they made

Visit our Facebook page to take a look at a typical day of learning in Amanda Mannato’s art classroom here at ASH!

As part of their collaboration with visiting mixed-media fiber artist and arts educator Mallory Zondag, students spent Friday morning needle-felting a series of mushrooms. Students will take one mushroom home, while contributing another to a collaborative “living wall ecosystem” art installation around the building.

These photos feature students from Jennifer Oertel’s fifth grade.
