Beethoven, Bach and Brahms have nothing on us!

Strings students practice with Albany Symphony Orchestra members.

Our talented students have another accomplishment to add to their already long list of skills: music composer!

Albany Symphony guest artist Harriet Steinke, along with two members of that ensemble, led an immersive lesson with our orchestra students on Friday.

The aspiring maestros learned the process Steinke follows when creating a musical piece and then composed an arrangement of their own inspired (appropriately) by a winter storm.

Thank you to Albany Fund For Education for providing our students with such an amazing arts enrichment experience!
