Back-to-school update

The following message is from Tony Clement Center for Education Principal Scott Thompson and Assistant Principal Teresa Adalian. The information also was mailed home to families.

Welcome to the start of the 2022-2023 school year!

We are excited to welcome your child to the Tony Clement Center for Education. Our teachers and staff work together to ensure your child is provided with opportunities to be successful.  We value the time we have with your child and will continue to work together to help them grow throughout the year.

Attendance is critical to growth. Please be sure to send your child to school daily. We have many supports within the building to assist with any barriers your family may be experiencing and are here to help.  We look forward to a partnership with you as we strongly believe together we can do anything!  Please see some helpful information below:

All students

  • Doors open at 8:15 a.m. daily
  • Classes begin promptly at 8:30 a.m.
  • School Dismisses at 2:50 p.m.
  • Cell phones/electronic devices are turned in during our morning security routine and returned at dismissal
  • If your child is going to be absent from school please report their absence as early as possible
  • Your child/family will have a point person who will remain your contact throughout the school year.  Someone will be reaching out to connect with you soon
  • Students will receive schedules upon arrival to school

Middle School (grades 7-8)

  • Thursday, Sept. 1  will be a FULL DAY of school
  • Friday, Sept. 2 there is NO SCHOOL
  • If you have not yet completed an intake, please contact the main office to set up an appointment prior to the start of school

High School (grades 9-12) and CHOICE program students

  • Thursday, Sept. 1
    • There is NO SCHOOL for students
    • Parents, guardians and students must attend the intake clinic being held from 1:15-3:30 p.m. Please come any time between 1:15 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to complete your child’s Tony Clement entrance process
  • Friday, Sept. 2 will be a FULL DAY of school
