The following message is from Eagle Point Elementary School Principal Gabriele Barbato:
I am writing to inform you that I have accepted a job with Capital Region BOCES and will be embarking on a new adventure as the principal of Maywood School. My last day as the Eagle Point principal will be Friday, Aug. 13.
The City School District of Albany is initiating a search for the school's next principal; look for more information from the district later this summer.
It has been an absolute honor to lead such a wonderful school with amazing students, families, faculty and staff. When I reflect on my last four years here at Eagle Point, I fondly recall my time filled with joyous memories and glorious victories. The last four years were filled with many successes and I have no doubt that Eagle Point will continue to have success.
I want to thank you for all the support you have given me, and I can’t thank you enough for all of your efforts during my time as your principal. I wish each and every one of you, and especially the students of Eagle Point, good luck on your future endeavors.
