Important safety update from Principal Fox

The following is an important safety message from Principal Jared Fox:

I’m writing to you today regarding safety issues during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. We are currently working with the City School District of Albany, Stewart’s and the City of Albany for a permanent solution to the ongoing traffic problem but, in the meantime, please adhere to the following expectations:

  • Please do not block the driveways of our Eagle Point neighbors or the school’s bus loop
  • Please do not park in the staff parking lot off of Russell Road
  • Please do not double park or leave your car in the street while you walk your student in or when picking up your student
  • Please utilize the free parking on the side streets and walk to the school to drop off and pick up your students

Again, I am asking that all families who engage in drop off and pick up follow these guidelines. It is up to each of us to maintain our student and staff’s safety.

Please feel free to reach out to me directly (jfox1@albany.k12.ny.us or 518.475.6825) with concerns related to the traffic pattern or any safety concerns. We are actively working to address the issues that have been voiced by our school community and want to ensure that arrival and departure run as smoothly as possible each day.
