Lab fosters STEAM skills

Students built a zebra to practice STEM skills.

Fifth grade was a zoo on Monday (but that was the assignment)!

Susan Paultre tasked the young scientists with building a zoo animal out of cube or rectangular boxes. They then determined the animal’s total volume by measuring the length, width and height (in both inches AND centimeters).

The students worked in pairs on the lab and used empty food containers upcycled from families and staff.
