It's June – time for the milestone ceremonies that mark students' promotion to the next phase of their education.
Giffen Memorial Elementary School will celebrate students in Moving Up ceremonies as follows:
June 21 – Prekindergarten and kindergarten Moving Up, walk/drive by reverse parades, Rensselaer Street side of school building
- Pre-K – 9:30-10 a.m., (Jenkins/Bonaquisti)
- K – 10-10:30 a.m., (Hayes)
- K – 10:30-11 a.m., (Souder/Mitchell)
- K –11-11:30 a.m., (Moore/Childrose and Harkavy/Williams)
- K – 11:30-noon, (Cunningham/DiVeglia)
June 22 – Grade 6 Moving Up, two outdoor, in-person ceremonies in the Green Street courtyard
- Student last name letter A-M, 10 a.m.
- Student last name letter N-Z, 11 a.m.
June 23 – Grade 5 Moving Up, two outdoor, in-person ceremonies in the Green Street courtyard
- Virtual classes (Belleville/Felts), 10 a.m.
- In-person classes (Waller-Brown/Dodson), 11 a.m.
Facemasks are recommended but not required.
