A fifth-grade student celebrates his moving-up ceremony with an assistant principal

Giffen Memorial Elementary School celebrated its fifth-graders Thursday morning with a moving-up ceremony that featured student performances and a keynote address from Albany Common Council President Corey Ellis. 

Javion Edwards provided the student farewell message, and awards included the presentation of the Augusta Bouldin Scholarship.

Congratulations to all of our fifth-grade scholars and best of luck in middle school!
