STEM Harvest Fest a blast!

Student shows off the stretchy slime they created

Giffen Memorial Elementary School students joyfully got their hands dirty doing cool fall-themed science projects Thursday at the Families Rising Together Harvest STEAM Festival.

Thanks to our staff and community partners for supervising events and providing treats! Special shout-outs to author Crystal De Bouse for supervising the slime-making table and providing copies of her book “Kaya’s Magical Unicorn Slime Experience” (and to her daughter Kaya, who also helped out!), The Red Bookshelf, which was on hand to give free books to kids, and Samascott Orchards, which provided delicious sparkling apple cider!

Take a look at some Facebook photos from the event. (You don't need a Facebook account to see the pictures linked in the highlighted text. A window may appear that says, “To see more from Albany City Schools on Facebook, log on or create an account,” but you can dismiss it by clicking “not now.”)
