Orientation days Thursday, Friday

Orientation reminders

The following message is from Hackett Principal Michael Paolino:

Dear Hackett families:

We are excited to welcome students and families back to school starting with orientation on Thursday (tomorrow) and Friday.

ORIENTATION SCHEDULE

  • Thursday – Students whose last names start with the letters A-L (only those students attend), 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • Friday – Students whose last names start with the letters M-Z (only those students attend), 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

Please have your student log in to schooltool with their district number and password to find out the room where their first period class is located. This will help us speed up entry into the building on both days. Official student schedules will be presented to all students in the first period class.

BUSES

Eligible students will ride CDTA buses and their student ID will be their bus pass. CDTA tripper buses that serve Hackett are designated as route #806. Get times and a route description here. Tripper service for Hackett will begin at the first student orientation day on Thursday. Students also may access regular CDTA routes for the orientation days and throughout the school year. You can visit the CDTA website for more information about all routes and to find the best route to get to Hackett or wherever you need to go. All students riding buses must wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.

CHROMEBOOKS

Students will receive a Chromebook during their orientation day. Students should bring their fully charged Chromebook and charger to school each day starting on Wednesday, Sept. 8, the first day of school for all students. Students who do not attend orientation will receive a Chromebook on Sept. 8.

Finally, please remember that your student must wear a mask in school each day. Also, staff will take students’ temperatures every day as they arrive at school.

We look forward to seeing you at orientation. If you have any questions in the meantime, please call school at (518) 475-6475.
