PRE-K & MAGNET LOTTERY UPDATE
We are looking forward to starting our co-ed modified swimming team for the winter season. Students in grades 7-8 are invited to participate!
Beginning Tuesday, Jan. 20, practices will be held at Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School from 4-5:15 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Please note that students will need to complete a swimming test to ensure they have an appropriate level of proficiency to participate on the team.
Students should bring:
- A one-piece bathing suit
- Towel
- Goggles
- Swim cap or hair tie (for long hair)
- Drinking water
Transportation details are as follows:
- North Albany Middle School students will take the 803 Green line CDTA tripper bus to Myers
- Students at Albany International Academy also will take the 803 Green line CDTA tripper bus to Myers.
- Please note students will need to get off the 803 Green line at Marwill and Whitehall -- in front of Albany School of Humanities (ASH) -- and walk four-tenths of a mile to Myers. Students will turn left to enter campus when they see the Myers school sign at Elbel Court.
- Students at William S. Hackett Middle School will take the 801 Yellow line CDTA tripper bus to Myers.
Registration will remain open until Monday, Jan. 19. Families can register their student-athlete via the Final Forms website. Each student-athlete needs an up-to-date physical on file prior to the first day of practice. Families are encouraged to schedule a visit with their child's provider to secure a completed physical form.
