Montessori Magnet School’s Black History Month assembly had it all - poetry, African drumming, the Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School jazz band (that included many MMS grads), spontaneous dancing and then closed with a beautiful rendition of “Lift Every Voice.”
It was a great way to end a month of celebrating African-American culture and contributions.
