Students learn about Pakistan through eyes of classmate

A student chats with her classmates via Google Meet.

When a student at Montessori Magnet School traveled to Pakistan for a family wedding, she took her classmates and teachers with her. Virtually, of course!

Kate Klink and Emily Maniak’s first and second graders held a Google Meet with a classmate on Monday who is visiting family near Lahore.During the cultural exchange, the state-side students had their overseas friend translate common English words and phrases into Urdu, asked questions about Parkistan’s climate and unique foods and learned that Pakistani wedding celebrations often last more than a week!

We bet there will be lots more to discuss once the young traveler returns to her classroom and friends!
