Researching December observances

In advance of the sixth night of Hanukkah, some of our prekindergarten and kindergarten students were introduced to the Festival of Lights.

Krissy Bruce and Melissa Ofiesh’s class learned the beliefs of the Jewish holiday, cooked (and sampled) latkes and applesauce - a traditional food - and played the dreidel game.

The students were also able to explore a beautiful menorah collection, which included multibranched candelabras from all over the world!
