Isaac Newton’s work was put to the test at Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School on March 5.

Seventh-graders in Cheryl Backman’s classes used balloons and string to learn, first hand, that “for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.”  The objective of this Third Law of Motion experiment was to propel the balloon as far as possible using only air pressure.
