Myers students cook up history in social studies

A social studies teacher helps a seventh grader with a project.

Dylan Cordaro’s social studies students are creating a list fit for a feast that will be complete just in time for Thanksgiving!

The seventh graders are researching Native American and European recipes (circa 1500s) and will compile them into an Old World/New World cookbook.

Entries include catfish from the Hudson River topped with pine nuts to a modern-day favorite, pumpkin bread.
