March 15 lockout at Myers

The following is an important message from Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School Principal William Rivers:

Myers was in lockout mode for about 45 minutes on Tuesday morning due to a safety issue inside the building. The Albany Police Department was called for support. The issue was resolved and the lockout was lifted.

During a lockout, all doors leading outside are locked and secured. School continues as usual in classrooms. However, no one is allowed to enter or exit the building without first providing proper identification while the lockout is in place.
