Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School celebrated its eighth-graders Friday on a warm, sunny morning that fittingly felt like the official first day of summer.
The outdoor moving-up ceremony featured student performances and remarks, a keynote address from Board of Education Secretary Sridar Chittur, Ph.D., and a heart-felt motivational message from English teacher Jen Kuebler.
