- Applications are now available for the 2024-25 Albany High School academy lottery. Current City School District of Albany families are welcome to complete the application online now, but please note that Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School eighth-graders will have the opportunity to visit the high school and learn about each academy during the school day next Thursday, Nov. 2. Please fill out and return this form (by Nov. 1) only if you do not want your student to attend the field trip to Albany High School.
- REMINDER: Monday (Oct. 30) is the Myers Trunk-or-Treat from 4:30-6 p.m. Sign up to decorate your trunk/hand out candy!
- Registration for the 2023-24 modified winter sports season is now open with practices/tryouts beginning Nov. 20. New this year: a Falcon girls' wrestling team! Please note that student-athletes must have had a physical dated on, or after, Nov. 1, 2022.
- Many hands make light work! The Vegetable Project is seeking helpers at 10 a.m. on Saturday (Oct. 28) to clear a space for our new shed. More information can be found here!

- Day 2 of best-selling author Jerry Craft's district tour brought him to Myers on Tuesday, where students learned, step-by-step, the process of writing and publishing a book. Details and pictures can be found here.
- The Community School Advisory Board is seeking interested parents or guardians to join the board. The advisory board makes decisions about programs and services that are brought to Myers, gives input on how funds are spent, receives updates about programs and services and is an opportunity to have your voice and unique perspective heard. The time commitment is every 4th Tuesday of the month from 3:10-4:10 p.m. Please contact Jenn Seguinot, Community School Site Coordinator, at 518-475-6462 or jseguinot@albany.k12.ny.us if interested.
- The Empire State After School Program, run by the Albany Police Athletic League, is accepting applications for the wait list. Parents/guardians will be notified when/if there is a spot for their student. Please print out this application and return it to the main office. Students can also pick up a physical copy in the main office.
