- This Wednesday's (Feb. 7) PTSA meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. and will be virtual only - please use this link to "attend." Last month's PTSA minutes are now available online.
- Parent/Teacher conferences are scheduled for Feb. 8-9. If you haven't yet, please sign up for an appoitnment with your student's team today There is no school for students on Friday.
- Next week (Feb. 12-16) is Spirit Week! Check out the schedule and be creative and have some fun!
- The Myers Thrift Store will be open during Teen Night (Feb. 15 from 5-7 p.m.) and is in need of the following (gently used) donations: decorative items/knick-knacks, personal care items, household items, toys/games/puzzles, craft supplies/kits AND teen-appropriate books/items. Please contact Cheryl Backman at cbackman@albany.k12.ny.us with any questions.
- The Albany Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is seeking nominations for the 2024 HERO Award for Special Education.The award recognizes and celebrates excellence in education by spotlighting teachers, teaching assistants, paraprofessionals, related service providers, social workers, school psychologists, administrators and any others who go above and beyond to support special education students in the City School District of Albany. Nominations are due by Feb. 9.
- Student athletes in grades 7-8 are eligible to participate on the ongoing football and tennis intramurals at Albany High School. A detailed schedule can be found on the Athletics landing page. Please note the new dates/times for tennis.
- The Albany Booster Club is seeking adult volunteers to staff the concession stand during home athletic games at Albany High School. If your student-athlete participates in a district extracurricular activity, please consider signing up.
