- As a Title-1 funded institution, the New York State Education Department now requires families to complete a Needs Assessment Survey. Please support the district’s collaboration with NYSED, and our School Comprehensive Education Plan (SCEP) development, by completing the survey by March 20. Thanks, in advance, for taking the time to do this!
- Grade 7 students were asked to act like historians and think like scholars last week. Check out highlights from our Black History Month gallery walk.
- Congratulations to our student artists, and guiding teachers, whose work was chosen for display at the Empire State Plaza's 17th Annual Student Art Exhibition which runs through March 22. A reception is scheduled for next Thursday, March 12 at 5:30 p.m. and Rowan Midboe (7th), Aaliyah Schou (7th), Jemima Nkom Mouboli (7th), Harmony Fiske (6th)
and Ayaan Thomas (7th) will serve as student ambassadors for the event!

- Save the date! Our annual Myers Mixer is scheduled for March 29 from 1-3 p.m. There will be live music from our students in jazz band, a silent auction (donations are needed), refreshments and more! All proceeds benefit the PTSA.
- Another very simple way to raise money for the PTSA is to participate in the Clynk recycling program. The PTSA will provide the bag and all you have to do is fill it and bring it to Hannaford!
- Registration for modified (grades 7-8) spring sports is underway! Details, including links to the required paperwork, can be found here. New in 2026 - modified girls' flag football! The last flag football intramural is this Saturday! Please note that physicals will be offered here at Myers on March 17, details are online now.
- Students 14 (as of March 31) and older are encouraged to apply for the City of Albany's Summer Youth Employment Program. Pay is $16/hour and details, including registration information, can be found here.
- All district families are invited to Montessori Magnet School on March 31 from 5-7 p.m. for the annual Autism Spectrum Fair. Transportation is provided and the event is free!

The Family and Community Partnership Survey only takes a few minutes to complete, and the feedback you provide will play a vital role in our school improvement efforts.
