First day of school info 

We are so excited and ready to welcome back our students! K-5 students return on Thursday, Sept. 7, and pre-K students on Friday, Sept. 8. All families should have received information regarding these opening days in the mail, but please contact our office at (518) 475-6775 if you have not. 

Please remember that we open our doors for students in K-5 who are eating breakfast at 8:40 a.m. All other students will remain outside until 8:55 a.m. This procedure does not change regardless of the weather, so it is important to be prepared and dress appropriately.

On Thursday, our kindergarten students will enter the building at 9:30 a.m. for orientation (parents/guardians are required to attend; the orientation will end at 10:30 a.m.), and then students will remain in school for the rest of the day. 

On Friday, we will have pre-K orientation. Each pre-K family was assigned a time to come to school, so please reference the letter that was sent out for your time. 

As always, for the safety of our school community, all visitors to the building must provide a valid ID for our digital security system; this includes kindergarten and pre-K families attending our orientations. 

Morning drop-off safety 

Student safety is a top priority, and we ask that you follow our morning drop-off procedures to help keep everyone safe. 

Our drop-off lane is a drop-and-go lane; do not get out of your vehicle and walk your child to the door. If you would like to walk your child from your car to the door, you will need to park on one of our side streets and then walk them to the building. When in the drop-off lane, please follow the directions on the signs indicating where to let your child exit the vehicle. 

If you are walking your students, please use the crosswalk and avoid walking in our drop-off lane. 

Following these procedures will help keep everyone safe, and your cooperation is greatly appreciated!

• Sept. 6: PTA Chalk The Walk, 12-4 p.m.
• Sept. 8: Popsicle Palooza, 5:30-7 p.m.
• Sept. 19: Open House, 5-6:30 p.m. (we will run two sessions per grade, 5-5:45 p.m. and 5:45-6:30 p.m.) 
• Sept. 20: PTA meeting, 6-7:30 p.m.
• Sept. 25: No school, Yom Kippur
