All work, some play!

We are in our second trimester and students have been hard at work. We just finished up NWEA and easy CBM testing. These tests are administered throughout the year to measure student growth. So what does this mean for your child?

Teachers use this valuable data to make informed decisions about instruction. In addition to this, your child’s reading or math groups may change to meet their instructional needs. With parent-teacher conference day coming up, please be prepared to talk to your child’s teacher about their current progress.

But what is all work without some play? At NSES, we try to bring the fun into our day. Our teachers continually try to bring in fun activities for our students while teaching the curriculum. In addition, we hold monthly PBIS assemblies with surprise visits from Rory The Tiger. Our PTA supports our learning and brings the fun by planning a number of events for the students. And today we celebrated National Fun At Work Day! Students and staff were surprised with a midday, building-wide dance party.
