The results are in: First-graders in Ashley Greene’s class at New Scotland Elementary have declared green apples their favorite variety. And they have the data to prove it!
On Wednesday, students sampled red, green and yellow apples, then cast their votes by coloring an apple drawing to match their choice. The class built a colorful graph together, and each student also created their own using numbers, pictures or tally marks.
When the votes were tallied, tangy green apples earned 12 votes, sweet yellow apples came in second with nine and red apples trailed behind with just one.
