PTA events: Harvest Fest and Craft Night

Our wonderful annual PTA Harvest Festival is just a couple of weeks away, on Friday, Nov. 21 at 6 p.m. We will welcome the entire NSES community into the school to participate in various fun and free activities staged throughout the building.

This is the PTA's biggest event of the year, and it requires coordination, volunteers and donations. We hope you’ll join us and consider helping in the following ways:

  • Baked goods raffle: Enjoy baking? Want to share a piece of your family's culture or traditions? Bake an item for our baked goods raffle. All items should be "tray bakes" and not meant for individual consumption on-site. Baked goods (homemade or store-bought) must be wrapped or covered with ingredients listed. We do not have a refrigerator or freezer. Help us prepare for the event by emailing us at newscotlandpta@gmail.com or text us at Remind (text @h7dbk4 to 81010). We do not need regular raffle or silent auction items.
  • Volunteer: Half-hour time slots allow you to help and have fun. Feel free to sign up for more than one! You can sign up at this link.

Craft Night date change: There has been a change in date for Craft Night! Please mark your calendars with the new day: Dec. 2 from 6:30-8 p.m.

Attendance and timeliness matter!

Regular school attendance and arriving on time are essential to your child’s success. When students are present, they build strong routines and participate fully in lessons. They also avoid missing important instruction and social connections. Even a few late arrivals or absences each month can add up to lost learning time and increased stress for your child.

Thank you for partnering with us to support your child’s learning! Consistent attendance helps every student feel confident, connected and ready to learn.

Save the date

Besides the activities mentioned above, here are a few important upcoming dates. Please remember that this and more information are available on our online calendar.

  • Friday, Nov. 21 – Harvest Fest, 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 26-Friday, Nov. 28 – No school, Thanksgiving Recess
