The Vegetable Project: First Grade Greenhouses

First-graders at New Scotland Elementary built their very own greenhouses out of recycled plastic jugs! With help from the Vegetable Project in Albany, NY and parent volunteers, students drilled drainage holes, mixed soil, and planted a variety of herbs, vegetables, and flowers. They’ve placed their greenhouses in the schoolyard and are now waiting for the sun to work its magic!
