A day in the life: Lynette Smith’s math class

Visit our district Facebook page to take a look at a typical day of learning in Lynette Smith’s sixth-grade math class at North Albany Middle School.

On Thursday morning, students entered fourth period ready to continue their work on dividing fractions. After solving their POD (problem of the day) students left their desks to work collaboratively around the room. Engaged in a mathematical scavenger hunt of sorts, the correct solution of one problem led students on to the next as they calculated their way from start to finish.
